Website SEO Score Checker

Check a public page for title, description, H1, HTTPS, and server response time using a fixed checklist.

How to Use Website SEO Score Checker

Follow these steps, then review the result and the limitations below:

  1. Enter the full public website URL you wish to inspect (e.g. "https://example.com").
  2. Click "Run Diagnostic Check" to fetch and audit the live webpage headers and HTML structure.
  3. Review the calculated Overall SEO Score (out of 100) and itemized factor checklist.
  4. Inspect detailed findings for Title tag length, Meta description, H1 heading hierarchy, HTTPS security, and response latency.

Practical Worked Example

A page with a title of 20 characters receives 20 points for the title check. The final score combines five fixed checks: title, description, H1 count, HTTPS, and response time.

Key Features & Capabilities

  • Instant on-page SEO technical audit with 100-point scoring algorithm.
  • Checks title and description lengths against this tool’s fixed thresholds, which are not Google display limits.
  • Counts H1 tags in the fetched HTML; it does not audit the complete heading hierarchy.
  • Reports elapsed server request time and whether the final URL uses HTTPS; it does not measure browser TTFB.

A checklist, not a search ranking forecast

The score assigns points to five checks: title length, description length, H1 count, HTTPS, and elapsed request time. A page can pass all five while still being unhelpful, inaccessible, or excluded from search. Review the actual page and its indexing settings separately.

This request reads server-returned HTML. Content inserted later by JavaScript may be absent. Network timing changes between runs and includes the request from this server, so it is not a Core Web Vitals measurement.

Turn findings into concrete changes

If a title or description is missing, inspect the page source and add an accurate summary of that particular page. If several H1 elements appear, review the document structure rather than deleting headings only to increase a score.

After editing a page, rerun the check and confirm that the fetched URL is the intended page. Use Search Console for Google crawling and indexing information; this tool cannot access your account.

How It Works (Technical Overview)

Our server requests the public page and extracts selected tags from its HTML. A fixed checklist assigns up to 20 points each for title length, description length, H1 count, HTTPS, and server response time. It does not run a browser or measure Core Web Vitals.

Real-World Use Cases & Applications

  • SEO audits: Digital marketers evaluating client landing pages and identifying technical SEO deficiencies before campaign launches.
  • Web development QA: Developers confirming that production deployments have properly configured meta tags, canonical URLs, and heading tags.
  • Competitor benchmarking: Analyzing competitor landing page structures and title/description optimization strategies.

Privacy, Security & Accuracy

The score is this site's own checklist, not a Google score. It does not measure content quality, Core Web Vitals, backlinks, rankings, or Search Console data.

Pro Tips for Best Results

Ensure your primary target keyword appears within the first 40 characters of your Title tag and is reinforced naturally within your primary H1 heading.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is considered a good on-page SEO score?

A high score means more of this tool’s five checks passed. It does not establish indexing eligibility, content quality, or search performance.

Does a high score guarantee page 1 rankings on Google?

No single tool can guarantee search rankings. On-page SEO scores evaluate technical readiness, while search rankings also depend on content quality, search intent match, domain authority, and backlinks.

Why does the tool show a warning for my title tag?

This checklist awards 20 title points for 10–65 characters, 10 points for other nonempty titles, and zero for a missing title. Search engines may display titles differently.

Can I test local development URLs (e.g. localhost)?

No. The target URL must be publicly accessible on the internet so our diagnostic engine can connect and retrieve the HTTP response.
